“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”

Jestro and the Cloud of Chaos/Monstrox move across the land bringing stone to life and forcing the NEXO-Knights to fight them over possession of the Forbidden Powers which have the ability, when combined, to destroy all of Knighton. Jestro and Monstrox and their army of stone will attempt to gather all the Forbidden Powers – and insert them in the standing stones atop MT. THUNDERSTOX – to bring the STONE COLOSSUS to life. Monstrox will then have the ultimate, indestructible body to use on his quest not to takeover Knighton…but to totally destroy it. As Jestro and Monstrox scour the land in search of the Forbidden Powers, the NEXO-Knights are blissfully unaware of the danger at first. Peace, it seems, has again come to Knighton (thanks to their efforts.) Once they finally realize the dire threat they face, they rise to fight for their realm once more.

As an adult fan of Legos that builds these with my children, we began building the NEXO Knights sets and couldn’t wait to see the series. The first season was really good and ramped up to an exciting conclusion for the next season which seems to be leading to a bigger story arc.

The NEXO Knights universe seems to have broader potential and is more interesting than some of the other series in the LEGO Universe. The lessons for children are really good, but adults need to be reminded of those lessons too. I can also say the NEXO LEGO sets are some of the most creative I have worked with and feature the characters and some really intricate sets. If you are a fan of the NEXO series, it is well worth your time to check out season one.
Movie Quality: 10/10

Final Thoughts

Overall, this first season of NEXO Knights is fantastic which if you love the LEGO Universe you owe it to yourself to really check this out. This series is so enjoyable that it might make you go run out and buy some of the NEXO Knights.
