‘The Cheetah Girls – One World Music Edition’ Blu-ray Review
‘The Cheetah Girls One World’ isn’t the same for the musical group – Chanel, Aqua, and Dorinda as their fourth Cheetah (Raven-Symoné Pearman), Galleria is away at school. With Raven being gone from the group, it has kind of taken some of the thunder away from the super group. One World is beyond far-fetched, and why do the Cheetah’s go running off to a foreign country with some unknown producer without checking a single fact first? Their example in this movie does not send a good message to kids as they are actually acting on their dreams of making it big just like their favorite Disney stars.
As the girls struggle to find gigs due to Galleria being gone from the group, they finally get a break. These girls were ready to just give up on their goals as a group, but this opportunity has fallen on to their lap. Aspiring director Vikram “Vik” Bhatia offers them a chance to be in his new Hollywood film. They figure that they have no choice at the moment but to go for it.
The girls arrive to India and are very excited as they see a huge opportunity. Then a wrench is thrown into the mix as the girls learn that there is one spot available. The girls must compete with each other for that one spot.
Movie Content: 4/5
The print is presented in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 with a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Colors are bold, but can be warm at times throughout the film. Sharpness is rather high. Details are also fairly good. There is decent amount of grain throughout the film, but never an issue.
Video Quality: 3.5/5
The audio is presented in English Uncompressed 5.1 mix. I found this mix to be a bit disappointing considering that this is a going to be driven by a musical soundtrack. The dialogue sounded a bit on the lower side than expected. This is more of a front heavy presentation. The music doesn’t fully take advantage. That is a shame since this could have been a gem for Disney.

Special Features: 3.5/5
This Blu-ray will make ‘Cheetah Girls’ fans very ecstatic for this release as it never strays from its target audience. If you also enjoy singing and dancing, this is the film for you to enjoy. The one piece that is hurting the Cheetah Girls at the moment has to do with the absence of Raven-Symoné Pearman.
